2 Minutes to Spring and Success
Aug 26, 2022Every Year I feel like Winter is a very long season, months of cold feel like a year. Last Summer is a distant memory. Ironically, in flies by. before I know it, it is spring and year end.
Like Witnessing success in People, and witnessing the "sudden" change in season, it seems completely like an overnight occurrence.
In the background however, from the Winter solstice of 21 June, the longest night in the southern hemisphere, the day grows by 1 minute 4 seconds in the morning, and 1 minute 4 seconds in the evening. That's it. A consistent 2 minutes 8 seconds a day that no one notices as the day goes by, I mean no one notices. And before you know it, it's spring.
Adding just a bit more to daily activity to reach your Sales and Performance goals. Just a few minutes more a day - easy to do, and easy not to do. Any slight edge activity you do in this way every day, will not disturb your daily life and no one else will notice it either but if you persist in it, your success will seem like an overnight event. Yesterday was Winter, today is spring, so to speak, in your Business.
Your two minutes 8 seconds commitment can be any length of time if it is manageable long term. 10 minutes, then 30. Whatever works for you.
A few months ago, I picked the brain of a great Business Owner who used to be a Rental Agent. His Mentor taught him this very principle. He tested it out for 1 year and it was this:
The Difference between a R50 000 monthly income and a R100 000 Monthly income is 2 hours a day. He proved it right. He woke up an hour early and put in an extra hour every evening after the family went to bed. Every day for that year, no one noticed, then as if overnight, he became the top Agent in his Business.
Commit to a bit more. Stick to it like the Seasons. You Deserve it.
