As easy as 1-2-3

Simple as A-B-C, 1-2-3, we grew up being taught this, but how wrong they were!

The key to success is 1-3-5.

I haven’t lost my mind, or forgot how to count, the 1-3-5 strategy will be a guaranteed way to bring success into your 2023. Consider this, in a boardroom in Rome, 85 master Century 21 license holders from around the world gathered and spent two days devising their 1-3-5 strategies for the new year. More recently C21 franchisees gathered in a boardroom in JHB and spent the day doing the same. If the most successful property franchise in the world thinks it’s the way to go, then surely, it’s the way forward for you as a property practitioner?

So, let’s understand what the 1-3-5 strategy is. Well, firstly, it strips away all the razzle and dazzle, the razzmatazz, and the shouting from the rooftops. It brings our individual businesses into sharp focus and provides you with a clear legible road map to follow, that will lead to new heights.

1 is your widely important goal. The one item that can elevate your business and propel you to the next level. It must be quantifiable and have a fixed timeline.

3 is the three strategies that you will implement to achieve your widely important goal, these are your three big ticket items, so choose them carefully.

5 is the five tactics that you assign to each one of your three strategies. So that is fifteen tactics in total. The tactics are your to do items, these are the activities that will drive your strategies and ultimately achieve your big, huge, humongous widely important goal!

So, there we have it, the 1-3-5 plan to take your business to new heights. But, before you sign off and start planning, there is more. This is a team activity, and must be completed as a team, each member will have a different 1-3-5 but will be held accountable by your peers. Simply put, therefore why it is so successful, you are not only accountable to yourself but to every member of your team as well.

As the new year beckons and we start to wind down, my advice is start to ramp up, plan your 1-3-5 with your teammates, spend careful deliberations in doing so. When the clock winds down and ticks over to 2023, you will be ready to hit the ground running whilst others are still nursing a hangover!

It’s as easy, as, 1-3-5.
